We strongly believe that Indian youth has immense talent and aptitude for sports. At Vedanta Sports, our constant endeavour is to identify and nurture these talents through our grass root training programs, and thereby support the vision of Government of India to take Indian sporting ecosystem to new heights. Under this vision, we are focussing on identifying, grooming and nurturing football talent from all across the nation through Sesa Football Academy. Through our initiatives like Vedanta Women’s League which is particularly close to my heart, we are providing a platform to women footballers from Goa to excel in football. Our alumni have achieved great success in their career and we are extremely proud of them.

At Vedanta Iron and Steel Limited, we believe that sport has the power to inspire, transform and create opportunities for young people. As our flagship CSR initiative, Sesa Football Academy has been nurturing footballing talent for over 27 years, creating opportunities for the youth of Goa and contributing to Indian football. Being recognised with the AIFF Three-Star Academy Accreditation for the second time, is a proud milestone that reflects SFA’s commitment to excellence. It inspires us to continue creating opportunities to strengthen Goan & Indian football by empowering the next generation of talent.

At Vedanta, we are committed towards the transformation of Indian sports through our robust grassroot sports development programs across the country. Sesa Football Academy (SFA) is an important wing of Vedanta’s sports initiative, immensely contributing to the development of Indian Football. SFA has a rich legacy of over two decades in discovering & nurturing over 230 footballing talents through structured residential training programs and groom them as professional footballers. Our alumni are shining at various prestigious footballing platforms across the country including Indian National Team, Elite ISL, I-League etc. We believe, Indian Football has massive potential and to further expand the reach of our sports development initiative, we launched one of its kind platforms, for aspiring women footballers i.e. Vedanta Women’s League which is turning out to be a huge success. It is providing opportunity to over 300+ aspiring women footballers. Vedanta Football schools, Vedanta Youth Cup and Football for Fun programs are some of the extensions of our football development initiatives. They are helping in identification of budding talents in order to initiate grooming at early stages.

I have been associated with SFA since early years and have seen the academy grow into what it is right now. SFA has nurtured brilliant football talents and helped many footballers find their path in the game since its inception. Their quality grass root training programs carve a holistic journey for students and also helps in their overall growth.
