A WINNING START! SFA U-16 Girls Crowned Champions
Sesa Football Academy (SFA) Girls U-16 Team made a winning debut at the U-16 ASMITA Khelo India Girls 2025-26 championship, winning the title with a 5-0 sweep in the summit clash.
Displaying excellent team work, the SFA girls stood out for their superior technical skills & al round performance. Stand out show by Asma Bandodkar, Elosiha Oliveira, Analee D’Costa & Erica Crasto underscored the team’s dominance throughout the 8-team tournament.
The tournament is part of a broader nation-wide push by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports to develop grassroots women’s football & serves as a feeder pathway for selection to the Goa State Team for the Khelo India games.

Sesa Football Academy’s U14 Boys were crowned champions of the Goa Football Association (GFA) U14 Boys’ League following a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory in the final.
The young SFA ‘cubs’ displayed remarkable resilience to turn the game around, with a dramatic last-minute winner sealing their maiden League title. The triumph capped a hard-fought campaign spanning 18 matches and showcased the team’s determination, character and fighting spirit.

SFA U16 Girls Seal Maiden GFA League Title with Dominant 7-0 Victory
Sesa Football Academy’s U16 Girls completed a dominant campaign to lift the Goa Football Association (GFA) U16 Girls’ League title with an emphatic 7-0 victory in the final.
Making their maiden appearance in the League, the young champions delivered a commanding performance throughout the campaign, finishing with an impressive 68 goals. Their achievement reflects the growing strength of the girls’ football programme at SFA and the commitment of its players, coaches and support staff.

SFA Seal GFA U-14 Girls League Title with an Unbeaten Run
Sesa Football Academy (SFA) U-14 Girls Team emerged victorious at the Goa Football Association (GFA) U-14 Girls League 2025–26, clinching the title in emphatic fashion at the All Goa Playoff Final held at Sirsaim Academy Ground.
In the finals, SFA registered a dominant 5–0 win over Ambelim SC, with all goals coming in the first half of the match. Vidisha Assgaonkar and Asma Bandodkar netted a brace each, while Skye Fernandes added to the tally, showcasing the team’s attacking prowess.
The team, which was expertly guided by Coach Joseline D’Souza, remained unbeaten throughout the tournament & scored an impressive 51 goals, with Vidisha Assgaonkar emerging as the highest goal scorer for the team with 14 goals.

Sesa Football Academy’s U13 Girls were crowned champions of the Little League after completing an impressive unbeaten campaign.
The young SFA stars remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, combining consistency, teamwork and determination to finish at the top. Their triumph marked another proud milestone for the Academy and highlighted the growing strength of its girls’ football programme.

Donning India Colours: Aaroshi Govekar Makes India Debut
Stepping into the hallowed portals of Indian football, Sesa Football Academy’s Aaroshi Govekar made her Senior National Women’s Team debut against Nepal today. The match was held as the first-ever international football friendly at Gangtok’s Paljor Stadium, commemorating 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood.
The fearless defender from Nerul, Goa, has been a wall of strength since 2018 in the Vedanta Women’s League (VWL), consistently represented Goa at the Senior Nationals & was instrumental in powering SFA Senior Women’s Team to their maiden VWL Championship in 2024-25.

Pearl Fernandes Shines for India on the International Stage
Sesa Football Academy’s Pearl Fernandes made a telling impact while donning the India colours, playing a key role in the team’s successful international campaign.
Her opening goal set the tone as India secured qualification for the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup, marking a significant moment in the young forward’s journey.

#SFALionesses Set Course for the Indian Women’s League
Reigning Vedanta Women’s League Champions, SFA Senior Women’s Team has earned qualification for the Indian Women’s League (IWL) – the premier women’s championship in India.
This is the first-ever qualification for the #SFALionesses, a commendable feat, accomplished in their third full year of professional competitions. The development follows close on the heels of the credible finish in IWL-2.

Sesa–GFDC U-12 Girls’ Football Tournament: A Landmark Grassroots Initiative
Sesa Football Academy (SFA), in partnership with the Goa Football Development Council (GFDC), successfully concluded the inaugural Sesa–GFDC U-12 Girls’ Football Tournament, creating one of Goa’s largest structured grassroots platforms dedicated to girls’ football.
The 21-team tournament brought together 300+ young footballers from across North and South Goa, providing aspiring players with an opportunity to compete, showcase their talent and take their first steps towards a future in the sport. GFDC Quepem Centre emerged champions of the tournament.
