Amona, Goa, December 2025: The Sesa Football Academy (SFA) Senior Women’s Team has created history by qualifying for the Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2025–26 for the very first time. To commemorate this landmark achievement, Vedanta Sesa Goa organised a Jersey Unveiling Ceremony at the Amona Panchayat Ground, where the team was felicitated and encouraged by Dr Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa.

The Sesa Football Academy (SFA) Senior Women’s Team has scripted a landmark chapter in Goan football history by securing its maiden qualification to the 9^th Indian Women’s League (IWL). It is after a gap of three years that a Goan Team shall be participating in the prestigious event.

Sesa Football Academy (SFA) recently concluded the AIFF ‘D’ License course at its Sirsaim Campus.The six-day intensive program was carefully designed to equip aspiring coaches with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to identify, nurture, and guide budding football talent at the grassroots level.The course saw the active participation of 24 candidates, including 5 female coaches and 3 outstation coaches, reflecting Inclusivity and national reach of the initiative.

Goa, October 30^th 2025 : The 4^th Vedanta Youth Cup, hosted by Sesa Football Academy , came to a thrilling conclusion with Bengaluru FC edging out AIFF FIFA Talent Academy by a solitary goal to be crowned ‘Champions’.

Sesa Football Academy (SFA) bagged top accolades for its continued endeavours for promoting Goan football talent. The Academy’s efforts during the 2024-25 season were recognised at the Goa Football Association’s Awards Night. The event, which celebrates the achievements of GFA-registered clubs, was graced by the distinguished presence of Chief Guest-Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble CM of Goa, Guest of Honour Shri Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, MLA for Curtorim Constituency, Dr. Caitano Fernandes, President – GFA and other GFA officials.
